Udupi, Dec 23, 2024 : On 23 December, St. Cecily’s English Medium Higher Primary (CBSE) School celebrated Christmas with immense joy and fervor. The celebration began with a serene and soulful prayer service, led by the students of Grade 4B and 4C. A graceful prayer dance followed, setting the stage for an enchanting and meaningful programme.
The occasion was graced by Ma’am Suja Geroge, a distinguished teacher from St. Cecily’s Kindergarten. Raksha Raghavendra, extended a warm and cheerful greeting to all. Saasha presented a bouquet of flowers to the chief guest as a gesture of appreciation and respect.
The programme showcased a variety of captivating performances by the talented students. A mesmerizing dance to a popular Hindi song enthralled the audience, while a thought-provoking skit titled “Boxes of Emotions” emphasized the importance of understanding and nurturing emotional well-being. Adding to the festive spirit, the students performed a lively action song that spread joy and cheer among everyone present.
Competitions held in celebration of Christmas—such as carol singing, star making, crib making, brought out the creative spirit of the students. The winners were felicitated during the event. The school choir further elevated the festive atmosphere with their melodious carol singing, filling the air with harmony and delight.
The esteemed guest, Ma’am Suja, addressed the gathering with words of wisdom and festive wishes. She inspired the students to embrace the values of kindness, generosity, and forgiveness, reminding them of the true essence of Christmas.
The celebration concluded on a delightful note with the much-anticipated arrival of Santa Claus, who brought smiles to the children’s faces by distributing chocolates and spreading happiness. The programme ended with a heartfelt vote of thanks, leaving everyone with memories of a day filled with love, joy, and togetherness.
