Udupi, Nov 29 : Symphony of excellence at St. Cecily's English Medium Higher Primary School (CBSE), Udupi, was a resplendent evening of joy and pride. The event, held on November 28, 2024, on school grounds, showcased a harmonious blend of cultural brilliance and academic accomplishments.

The programme commenced at 5:00 p.m. with the arrival of the distinguished Chief Guest, Ms. Varsha Kamath, a National Trainer with JCI India, along with other dignitaries. They were ceremoniously led to the venue by the rhythmic beats of the school band, setting a celebratory tone for the evening.

The event began with a soul-stirring Prayer Song, invoking blessings and creating a serene ambiance. This was followed by a lively and colorful welcome dance performed by the young and talented students of Grade 2, who left the audience mesmerized with their elegance and enthusiasm.

The Principal, Sr. Lathika, then presented the School Annual Report. The report eloquently encapsulated the school’s achievements over the year, highlighting the milestones in academics, co-curricular activities, and the overall growth of its students.

The dignitaries were then escorted to the stage by the Principal, and a formal welcome address was delivered by the Vice Principal, Sr. Lavi Shanthi. Her words of welcome and appreciation created a warm and inclusive atmosphere for all present.

One of the evening’s highlights was the Academic Excellence Award Distribution, where students were recognized and applauded for their outstanding scholastic achievements. The Chief Guest, Ms. Varsha Kamath, congratulated the awardees and the school community for their collective efforts in fostering excellence. She also encouraged parents to cherish meaningful moments with their children, emphasizing the importance of family in a child’s growth.

The cultural segment was a true spectacle of creativity and talent. The Grade 1 students enthralled the audience with their vibrant portrayal of Festivals of India. This was followed by an exhilarating Roller Skating Show, showcasing the agility and skill of the young athletes. The Grade 3 students celebrated global diversity through International Dance Forms, while the Grade 4 performers presented a colorful display of the Dance Forms of Different States. Finally, the Grade 5 students brought the cultural richness of Karnataka to life with a spellbinding performance of its Traditional Dance Forms. Each act was met with thunderous applause, reflecting the audience's appreciation for the hard work and creativity of the students.

The evening concluded on a heartwarming note with the Vote of Thanks delivered by the adorable students of Grade 1. Holding little red hearts, they expressed their gratitude to everyone who made the event a grand success.

The programme was flawlessly hosted by the talented trio of Manan Chethan, Sathwika Roshith, and Nirali S Salian, whose engaging and professional commentary ensured the event ran smoothly and captivated the audience throughout.
