Pezar - Mangaluru, Aug 22 : St. Simon Deanery, Pezar, successfully organized the “Red Drop Enlightenment” program on August 11, 2024, across the respective ICYM units of Adyapady, Bajpe, Ferar, Gurpur, Permude, and Pezar. This initiative aimed to raise awareness about blood donation under the leadership of the Executive Committee. Initially, a video on the same topic was published among the youngsters of all the Units. The video highlighted the use and benefits of the Red Drop Mangalore App, providing detailed information on how to access the app’s features and services. Members of the ICYM Pezar Deanery were encouraged to download the app and actively participate in blood donation drives. In a symbolic gesture of commitment, many of the young attendees from each unit took the stage and pledged to donate blood in the future by leaving their handprints on a pledge board labeled “DONATE BLOOD, SAVE LIVES.”

UNIT-WISE PARTICIPATION AND BLOOD DONATION RECORDS : 

ADYAPADY UNIT

• 13 ICYM members were present for the program.
• 3 members already donated blood.

BAJPE UNIT

• 8 ICYM members have donated blood multiple times.

FERAR

• 20 ICYM members were present

GURPUR UNIT

• 55 ICYM members were present for this program.
• 10-15 members have donated blood multiple times.

PERMUDE

• 30 ICYM members were present.
• 6 members from the Unit have donated blood.

PEZAR

• 20 ICYM members were present
