Mangaluru, Sep 12 : The Interact Club of St. Lawrence English Medium School, Bondel, was inaugurated on Wednesday , September 11, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. in the school auditorium. The club is a unit of the Rotary Club of Mangalore North.

Reverend Father Peter Gonsalves, the Principal of the institution, was the chief guest of the program. The event was attended by esteemed guests from the Rotary Club, including MD Rtn. Vikrama Dutta, District Governor; Rtn. Krishna Shetty K, District Chief Advisor and Mentor; Rtn. Dr. Shiva Prasad K, District Secretary; Rtn. Vishwanathan M Shetty, Assistant Governor Zone 2; Rtn. Mohan Nair, President Rotary Club of Mangalore North; and Rtn. Prasanna Mallya, Chairman Rotary and Interact Club of Mangalore North Zone.

Akash A Nair of 9th standard was installed as the President, and Thanvi Suvarna of 9th standard as the Secretary of the Interact Club. Miss Maria, the coordinator of the club, ensured all necessary arrangements for the event.

The inauguration of the Interact Club aims to provide a platform for students to develop leadership skills, engage in community service, and foster international understanding. The club's activities will be guided by the Rotary Club of Mangalore North.
