Vamanjoor, Aug 22 : On August 18th, 2024, the ICYM Vamanjoor unit hosted an event named "FUSION – 2024" at St Joseph Church hall, aimed at uniting the parish's youth and fostering the exchange of ideas and enthusiasm.

The day began at 8:30 AM with registration and breakfast. At 9:30 AM, the official program kicked off with a prayer song by ICYM members. The inauguration was led by Rev. Fr. James Dsouza, the parish priest and president of the program, along with Rev. Fr. Ivan Ashwin Dsouza, the assistant parish priest; Mr. Charles Pais, the ICYM Animator; Mr. Anil Pinto, 21 Commissions' Coordinator; Mr. Leo Victor, the resource person; Adv. Roshan Melwin Lobo, the chief guest; Mr. Loystan Crasta, the ICYM President; and Ms. Smitha D’souza, the Secretary. All were present on the dais.

Ms. Jasmine D'souza served as the Master of Ceremonies. Mr. Loystan Crasta welcomed everyone warmly, followed by an address from Rev. Fr. James Dsouza, who highlighted the crucial role of youth in shaping society’s future.

The program featured an engaging session by Mr. Leo Victor on the significance of Artificial Intelligence in today's world. The ICYM city Deanery core committee members then conducted various games to energize the youth. Rev. Fr. William Dsouza, the ICYM City Deanery director, also attended the event.

Participants were divided into eight groups, and Mr. Noel and Mr. Prajwal organized a range of exciting games for them. Lunch was served at 1:10 PM, after which there were several indoor games. At 3:00 PM, the ICYM Vamanjoor youths entertained everyone with a lively flash mob performance. Water games began at 3:30 PM, featuring activities such as Balance the Balloon, Save the Bakra, Catch the Balloon, and other fun challenges, leading up to the closing ceremony.

During the closing ceremony, Rev. Fr. Ivan Ashwin Dsouza shared his reflections on the event, expressed his appreciation, and awarded prizes to the winners. The day concluded with evening snacks and a joyful rain dance.
