Mangaluru, Jan 14, 2025 : The ninth day of the Infant Jesus Novena was marked by immense devotion, a sense of unity, and a celebration of service on January 13. The day was dedicated to all social workers, honoring their tireless efforts and dedication to the well-being of society.

The day began early, with nine Holy Masses celebrated throughout the day in various languages, accommodating the diverse community of devotees. Each Mass resonated with the central theme of the day, "Heart and Soul, United in Mission," emphasizing the importance of unity and service in fulfilling God's mission on earth.

A special adoration service was conducted to offer prayers and gratitude for all social workers. Their invaluable service to humanity was highlighted as an extension of Christ's mission. The adoration allowed participants to reflect on their roles in bringing love, care, and hope to the less fortunate.

To nurture the sense of community, lunch was served to all devotees present. The act of sharing a meal further strengthened the bonds of fellowship among the faithful.

The evening held special significance with a Mass celebrated by Carmelite Definitor Counselor, Rev. Fr. Pius James, commemorating the Carmelite fraternity. Numerous priests joined in this celebration, underscoring the spirit of unity within the clergy.

After the Mass, a significant literary event took place with the release of Fr. Rudolph D'Souza's book, "WHEN I CANNOT PRAY" (Mhaka Magonk Zaintlya Velar). The book, focusing on moments of spiritual struggle and perseverance, was released by the main celebrant, Fr. Pius James, along with Fr. Rudolph D'Souza and Fr. Silvestre D'Souza. This release was a highlight, adding a contemplative dimension to the day's celebrations.

The day concluded with the solemn recitation of the Infant Jesus Rosary, followed by a blessing ceremony. The rosary brought the community together in deep prayer, invoking the intercession of Infant Jesus for peace, unity, and guidance.

Throughout the day, the ambiance was filled with spiritual energy and a collective sense of devotion. The theme, "Heart and Soul, United in Mission," resonated in every aspect of the day's events, inspiring all present to emulate the dedication and selflessness of social workers in their own lives.
