Vorkady, Oct 12 : ICYM Vorkady inaugurated the Unit logo and launched the new Jersey on the occasion of the golden jubilee celebration of the unit, on 6th October 2024 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Vorkady.

The programme began after the holy mass followed by Ms.Alisha, member of ICYM Vorkady giving an introduction of the programme. The prayer service was led by the ICYM Vorkady unit members. Members participated actively by seeking God's blessings for the new logo and jersey. Ms.Diana Cutinha, President of ICYM Vorkady unit welcomed the gathering.

Unveiling of new logo and jersey :

The new logo and jersey were unveiled by Rev.Fr.Basil Vas , Director of ICYM Vorkady, accompanied by Rev.Fr.Santhosh Dsouza, Assistant Director of ICYM Vorkady, Sr.Severiene Dcunha, Animator of ICYM Vorkady, Rev.Fr.Naveen Pinto, Administrator of St.Joseph seminary, Rev.Fr.Antony George Pinto, HOD & Professor of Bible, Sr.Monthi Gomes, Superior St.Joseph's convent, Sr.Shanthi Pereira, Superior Holy Face convent, Mr. Rajesh Dsouza,Vice-president of Parish pastoral council, Mrs.Sandhya Lidiya Dsouza, Secretary of Parish pastoral council, Mrs.Anitha Dsouza,Coordinator of 21 commissions, Diana Cutinha, ICYM Vorkady unit President and Sonal Veigas, ICYM Vorkady unit Secretary.

The logo and jersey were met with applause and cheers from the gathering. Rev.Fr.Basil Vas addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of the new logo and jersey. He encouraged the ICYM Vorkady unit members to continue their dedicated service to the youth and community.

Prizes of Moriyal Geetha competition were distributed to the winners.

Ms.Sonal Veigas, Secretary of ICYM Vorkady unit proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the guests, and the gathering.

This inaugural event marked a new chapter in ICYM Vorkady's journey, symbolizing growth, unity, and commitment to youth empowerment.
