Balkunje - Kinnigoli, Sep 22 : On 1st September 2024, ICYM Balkunje Unit, in collaboration with the Catholic Sabha Balkunje, the Societal Betterment Commission, Laity commission and the Education Commission, celebrated Teachers’ Day and honored students who excelled in their board examinations.
Fr. Paul Sequeira, Parish Priest of Balkunje Church, Dr. Freeda Rodrigues, Vice President of the Parish Council, Mrs. Nancy Cardoza, Secretary of the Parish Council, Mrs. Lavina Serrao, Convenor of the Pastoral Commissions, Mr. Patrick Pinto, President of the Catholic Sabha, Ms.Reshal Rodrigues, Secretary of ICYM Balkunje, Mrs Sylvia Menezes, member of Laity commission and Sr. Felcyn from Providence Convent, Balkunje, were present on the dais.

All the teachers were honored with gifts in appreciation of their selfless service in shaping young minds.
The five students who excelled in their academics and who completed MBBS were congratulated and honoured for their outstanding performance.
Anitha Dsouza delivered the vote of thanks. ICYM members sang the prayer song, and Patrick Pinto welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Cynthia D’Mello compered the program.
