Madanthyar, July 31, 2024 : The ICYM Madanthyar hosted the much-awaited event "Youth Fusion 2k24 Connecting Young Minds" on July 21, an event designed to empower, entertain and bring together the young minds of the region.

The event kicked off with a warm welcome and a short introduction about the event from ICYM Cultural Secretary Miss Roshal Cordeiro, who set the stage for an exciting day ahead. Rev Fr Stany Goveas along with Rev Fr Osmond Roshan Dsouza graced the occasion with their presence. Parish Pastoral Council Vice President Mr. Jerald Moras & Secretary Mr. Nelson Lasrado, ICYM Animators Mr. William Sequeira & Miss Wilma Dsouza, and ICYM Unit President Mr. Melric Manuel Miranda & Secretary Ashwitha Moras were also present, adding to the significance of the occasion.

The First session regarding Family, Faith, Love & Inter caste marriage was taken by Rev Fr Alwyn Richard Dsouza and team, Director of Family Life Commission, Mangalore.

Thereafter the atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm as the ICYM committee led the crowd in energetic action songs. The day continued with a series of fun-filled group games, fostering teamwork among the youth. In addition to it two more sessions were engaged by Mr. Manoj Fernandes, MC, writer & Lecturer at St. Aloysius( Deemed to be University ) Mangalore, regarding overall development of youth and leadership along with the importance of Konkani tradition. The evening session was taken by Mr. Maxim Albuquerque, Star Health Senior sales manager, Bantwal branch, regarding the importance of life and gave a valuable insight on various kinds of Insurances available.

The competitive spirit was high as teams battled it out in various games, culminating in the announcement of the winning team. The winners were rewarded with well-deserved prizes.

As the sun began to set, the event concluded with a formal stage program in which the ICYM Belthangady Deanery Director Rev Fr Praveen Dsouza, along with the Deanery President & Secretary were present. After that the day was concluded on a high note with a lively Baila dance performance, leaving everyone with unforgettable memories.

Youth Fusion 2k24 was more than just an event; it was a platform for personal growth, knowledge sharing, and community bonding. It was a day where young minds were nurtured, and spirits were uplifted.
