Valencia - Mangaluru, July 29 : Indian Catholic Youth Movement Valencia Unit organised "ALOHA LUAU" a freshers' bash on 14 July 2024 at St Vincent Ferrer Church, Valencia.

The bash was inaugurated by unit director Fr Roque DSa, Asst Director Fr Pradeep Rodrigues and Animator Ronald Rodrigues by cutting watermelon.

Unit member Riana DCunha was honoured for being elected as the Lady Vice president of the ICYM Mangalore Diocese.

Fr Roque speaking during the occasion encouraged the youth to be more active and involve themselves in the parish activities and wished them good luck in their future endeavours.

Fr Pradeep motivated the youth to take part in the youth community and build a strong base of the youth in the parish. He encouraged them to come forward and show their skills and knowledge to help with their personal growth.

Animator Ronald Rodrigues encouraged the youth to take up leadership roles in the society. Our community has been lacking leaders. So he urged the youth to take up the responsibility and work with the community which will also help in your personal growth.

Former ICYM Valencia Unit Presidents Gordon DAlmeida and Valerie Lobo shared their experience in ICYM.

ICYM Valencia Unit president Clive Rego, Secretary Neha DSouza and unit members actively participated in the program.

Games and cultural events were organised by the unit core committee. The program ended with an exquisite dinner prepared by Yummy Biryani Caterers.
