Hospet - Moodbidri, April 18 : The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Hospet Unit organized 'Kalaasambhram - 2024', an interward cultural competition for the parishioners, on 14th April 2024, at Holy Cross Church Hall, Hospet.

The program began with a prayer service led by Rev. Fr. Gregory D’Souza. Christon Fleming Serra, the Unit President, extended a warm welcome to all attendees. Thereafter, various cultural competitions were conducted for the parishioners, such as solo singing, duet singing, group singing, duet dance, group dance, drawing, fancy dress, pick and speech, story-telling, and skit which allowed the parishioners to showcase their talents.

During this program, Brendon Cutinha - President of ICYM Moodbidri Deanery, Sanjay D’Souza - ICYM Karnataka Regional President, Br. Vikas Pereira, and Br. Avith Pais were also present. A few ICYM members from Moodbidri unit and Paladka unit helped in volunteering for the event.

The valedictory ceremony began at 5:30 pm, during which the prizes were distributed to the winners. Rev. Fr. Gregory D’Souza - Parish Priest of Holy Cross Church Hospet, Manohar Cutinha - Vice President of Parish Pastoral Council, and Vincent Santhmayor - Secretary of Parish Pastoral Council were present during valedictory ceremony along with Christon Fleming Serra - Unit President, Glany Vinita Colaco, and Winston Joel Sequeira - Coordinators of the Event. Nithyadhar Mai Ward won the overall championship, and Piad Mai Ward was the runner-up of this event. Rolston Fleming D’Souza hosted the prize distribution ceremony, and Winston Joel Sequeira - coordinator of the program, proposed a vote of thanks. The event was a grand success with active participation from the parishioners and ICYM members.
