St. Agnes School CBSE recently hosted a two-day transformative training session on March 25th and 27th, 2025, as part of the CBSE training initiative. The event was designed to elevate and engage the teaching staff, guiding them from "good to great," reigniting their passion and dedication to creating a positive and dynamic classroom environment.
The distinguished resource persons for the event were Sr. Dr.Dorothy Dsouza A.C., Principal of St. Ann’s College of Education (Autonomous), Mangalore, and Dr. Sharmila L. Mascarenhas, Assistant Professor at St. Ann's College of Education (Autonomous). With their vast experience and expertise, they shared valuable insights on what makes a teacher truly effective in today’s rapidly evolving educational landscape.
The programme commenced with a prayer song, invoking blessings for a fruitful session over both days. The theme of the training, “Good to Great - Advancing Teaching-Learning Dynamics,” focused on innovative teaching practices designed to promote experiential learning. Key topics included the Kaiser Technique, proactive challenges, teacher etiquette, pedagogical strategies, and creative lesson planning, all aimed at empowering teachers to foster an engaging, enriching, and effective learning environment.
On March 25th, the session began with a warm welcome from Teacher Reena, who introduced Sr.Dr. Dorothy Dsouza A.C. The Vice Principal, Sr. Meena Fernandes A.C., further honoured Sr.Dr.Dorothy A.C. with a delicately scented candle as a thoughtful gesture. The day concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Teacher Shobha. On March 27th, Teacher Raina Coelho introduced Dr.Sharmila L. Mascarenhas, who was welcomed with a fragrant candle by Teacher Violet. The session closed with Teacher Lavina Peres expressing gratitude for the impactful and inspiring session.
Throughout the two days, interactive activities encouraged collaboration, enthusiasm, and a shared commitment to continuous learning. The teachers left the training feeling deeply inspired and recognized the tremendous value it added to their professional growth, enhancing their ability to nurture a vibrant, positive educational atmosphere.
