Bantwal, March 24 : St Thomas the Apostle Church, Nirkan on 24th March 2024, observed Palm Sunday, commemorating the triumphal entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem ahead of his crucifixion and resurrection, marking the beginning of the Holy Week.

At 8:00am, all the faithful gathered at the Nirkan School ground. Palm Sunday Service began with the blessing of palm and thereafter a solemn procession with blessed palms took place towards the church.

Parish Priest Rev Fr Leo William Lobo, celebrated the solemn Eucharist and he preached a meaningful homily.
