Mangaluru, Jan 22 , 2024 : Bishop of Mangalore Diocese, Most Rev Dr Peter Paul Saldanha announced that the golden jubilee mega conference of The Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement will take place from February 22 to 25 at Holy Cross Church Cordel grounds, Kulshekar.
With a rich history spanning 49 years, the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement originated in 1975 under the guidance of Bishop Late Dr Basil D'Souza and Bishop Emeritus Dr Aloysius Paul D'Souza, with continued support from Dr Peter Paul Saldanha. Organized by Mangalore Diocesan Service Communion and Bible Commission, the movement has positively impacted thousands in the diocese through various programs, prayer gatherings, and conferences.
In celebration of the movement's 50th year, the Golden Jubilee Mega Conference is eagerly anticipated. The four-day event at Holy Cross Church ground, Kulshekar, from February 22 to 25, will be led by Fr Joseph Edattu VC from the Divine Retreat Centre in Kerala. With an expected 6,000 participants, the conference will feature half-day training sessions for leaders across Mangalore and other Karnataka dioceses. This gathering promises a spiritually enriching environment, incorporating unique religious rituals, and providing attendees an opportunity to seek divine blessings for family prosperity, global peace, and the well-being of all humanity.
