Moodbidri, Dec 16 : Carmel school celebrated Quadruple milestones which is 200 years of the birth of the founder Venerable Mother Veronica, Decennial year of Carmel school and the Annual Sports Meet with a amalgamation of Dance and display on 8th December 2023. It was a splendid affair, filled with a variety of captivating performances and recognitions.

The magic had spread in the environment as the dignitaries marched towards the dais. The melodious opening chorus was set aside to contemplate the Lord, followed by the mesmerising welcome dance performed by the brilliant performers. Mr Praveen Sequeira the chief guest ,Sr Sunitha Monteirothe joint Secretary and Superior of Carmel Convent, Sr Gracilda A.C the Principal, the administrator Sr Elena A. C, Sr Preena A.C. the Vice Principal, Play school coordinator Sr Evelyn Marie, Mr Jossy Menezes PTA Vice President were graciously welcomed by Sr Ranitha.

The school ground came alive with spectacular Dance displays, and the presence of esteemed guests added to the ceremonial atmosphere. It also created a positive connection among parents, the school, and their children. The tableau on the life of Venerable Mother Veronica and having the chief guest unfurl a painting of Mother Veronica soaring high with a bunch of balloons added a special touch to the Bicentenary celebrations. It was indeed a memorable highlight, symbolizing the school's connection to its heritage.

The recognition of sports achievements contributed to the overall excitement of the ceremony. Winners of the Merit holders of 2022 from Grade Ukg to Grade X were also proudly felicitated by the dignitaries. It was time to felicitate the winners of founded prizes too.

Honouring and recognising the hard work of external teachers reflected the school's acknowledgment of their valuable contributions. Toppers of grade X for the year 2023 were also honoured by the chief guest.

The chief guest Mr Praveen Sequeira was also honoured and appreciated for his contribution and hard work. Words of appreciation for students and teachers, emphasizing the importance of sports and training by the esteemed chief guest added to the event. Sr Sunitha Monteiro in her speech congratulated all students for their excellent performance. Her words of wisdom brought out an inspiration to the students as they cheered with acknowledgement.

The singing of the national anthem and the efficient compering led by Tr Stefnie Fernandes along with little twinklers Arjun Kini, Renwic Dsouza, Tania, Archith and Reola wrapped up the ceremony on a positive note. Vote of thanks was confidently proposed by Tr Raina.
