Moodbidri, Sep 12 : On the occasion of the feast of the Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary (Monthi Feast), St Francis Xavier parish, Saverapura , Murkoth Palke celebrated "Kutma Fest" with pomp and grandeur on September 10, 2023.

The parishioners attended mass in the morning with meaningful liturgy, celebrated by  Parish Priest Rev Fr Noel Mascarenhas. In the afternoon , all gathered to prepare food for the evening.

The evening get-together started at 7.15 pm.  Parish Priest Rev Fr Noel Mascarenhas, Redemptorist Rector Rev Fr Gabriel Lobo and Rev Fr Ashwil Dias graced the occasion with their presence. Parish Secretary Vincent Dsouza , Ward Gurkars Baptist Cardoza and Irene Dcosta were also present on the dais.

The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp and offering prayers to the almighty. The Blessed 'Novem' was mixed with milk by the dignitaries on the dais and was served to the gathering.

The children , youth and elders presented vibrant cultural programs including songs and dances. Games and quiz were conducted. Prizes were distributed to the winners.

In his message , Fr Gabriel lauded people's unity in organising the Kutma Fest meaningfully. Parish Priest Fr Noel thanked the parishioners for their whole-hearted support in organising Kutma Fest in such a grand manner.

Kiran Fernandes compered the stage program, Wilson Dsouza compered the cultural program. Cynthia Dsouza helped in conducting games.

The program concluded with the gathering having festal vegetarian meal together. Altogether it turned out to be a memorable day for everyone.
