Kasaragod, July 20 : ICYM unit of Christ the King Church, Kayyar in collaboration with the Parish Council organized 'Gadyanth Gammath' for all the parishioners of Kayyar Parish on July 16th, 2023 at Kedenji paddy field of Mr. Gilbert D Almeida.

A full day of fun in the mudded paddy field was inaugurated by Mr. A.K.M Ashraf MLA of Manjeshwar sub district. Fr. Vishal Monis, the Parish priest of Kayyar Church was the president of this event. Sr. Jasmine, the convent superior and ICYM coordinator, Mr. Roshan D Souza, the Vice President of the Parish Council, Mrs. Zeena Dsouza, the Secretary of the Parish Council, Miss Ashika D Souza, the Parish commission coordinator and Jithesh Roshan Crasta, the ICYM president of Kayyar parish were the guests of honour for this event. 

The whole event which was named as KPL - Kayyar Premier League, was filled with various competitions such as Kabaddi, throw ball, running race, tug of war and others. The Parishioners were divided into different teams and their spirited enthusiasm throughout the day was noteworthy.

The chief guest of the concluding ceremony Mr. Abdul Razak Chippar, Paivalike Grama Panchayath Development Standing Committee Chairman, commended the Parish priest and the organizing committee for all the hard work put in to make the event a successful one. As a token of appreciation, the sponsors were honored with the momentos.

Overall the day was filled with a lot of fun and brought all the Parishioners together as one family.
