Bantwal, July 12 : ICYM Bantwal Unit organized a youth get-together called "Yuva Ekvot 2023" for all Infant Jesus parish youths, on July 9th, 2023, at Infant Jesus Church Hall , Bantwal.
The program commenced at 9:00 AM with a prayer led by Rickson and his team. Mr. Elson Dsouza served as the resource person for the event. Notable dignitaries on the dais included Rev. Fr. Valerian Dsouza (Parish Priest ), Rev. Fr. Rahul Dexter Dsouza (Assistant Parish priest ), Mr. Sunil Lewis (ICYM Animator), Mr. Sunil Veigas (Vice President of Infant Jesus Church), Mr.Manohar Dcosta ( Secretary of Infant Jesus Church ), Mr.John Gomes ( Youth convener of Infant Jesus Church), Mrs.Veena Goveas (Coordinator of all commissions of Infant Jesus Church) , Preema Monteiro ( President), and Meldrin Rodrigues (Secretary).
The gathering was warmly welcomed by Preema Monteiro, followed by the official inauguration of the event by the dignitaries. A special honor was bestowed upon the past President and Secretary of the Bantwal Unit.
Meldrin Rodrigues delivered the vote of thanks to conclude the stage program. Avin served as the Master of Ceremony for the event. An action song was performed by Reeshal and team, adding a lively element to the event.
Mr. Elson Dsouza addressed the audience and expressed his admiration for the ICYM youth and their commendable activities. He imparted valuable insights and wisdom to inspire the youth further. Preeval extended gratitude to the resource person . Fr. Rahul, Preema , Meldrin presented him with a memento as a token of appreciation.
Lunch was served to all attendees, providing a chance for socializing and nourishment.
The post-lunch session included a "Knowing Each Other" activity conducted by Mr.Sunil, fostering connections among the participants. Reeshal and team returned for another performance, captivating the audience. Royston Dsilva conducted an engaging quiz session, and various fun activities were conducted for the groups.
This event also had the privilege of being visited by representatives from the Mangalore Diocese.
Winning teams from the day's activities were awarded prizes, recognizing their achievements. To conclude the event on a joyous note, a baila dance performance took place, spreading enthusiasm among the participants.
In total, 135 enthusiastic youths from the Bantwal parish actively participated in the memorable Yuva Ekvot 2023 event.
