Kirem, July 11 : ICYM unit of Our Lady of Remedies Church , Kirem organized "Ignite -2023 : Burn to Shine" one day programme for all parish youths on Sunday, 09July 2023 at Pompei college auditorium, Kirem.

The programme started with a prayer song at 9:00 AM commenced by YCS Members.

Alston Dantis, president of ICYM Kirem welcomed the gathering. Rev. Fr. Oswald Monteiro parish priest, Kirem presided over and inaugurated the programme along with Mr. Stephan Herald - Resource person of the day and committee members .

Mr. Stephan Herald addressed the youths on how to avoid falling a trap towards drugs, alcohol and other habits.

Four youths were felicitated for being elected as members of ICYM and YCS North Deanery. YCS President Ruben Dsouza gave a Vote of thanks to each and everyone present on this occasion.

Dr. Avinash was the resource person for this Program. He helped students understand mental health with a glimpse of how drugs and alcohol affect us as youths.

Special mass were arranged for the parish youths from 11:30 am - 1-00 pm.

Fr.Praveen Aranha in his sermon spoke to youth about how to be Role of Models, Embracing Positivity and embracing Jesus as a Perfect Role Model. This was followed by lunch.

In the afternoon, youths were divided into 4 groups. Games, action songs and other activities were conducted. Everyone participated with great energy and enthusiasm. Finally, the programme concluded by singing the ICYM anthem.

Total 50 members participated in the program.
