Shivamogga, Dec 17 : The Shimoga Diocese Youth DEXCO Elections 2025 were successfully held on the 14th and 15th of December 2024 at Sannidhi, Shivamogga. These crucial elections determined the new leadership for both ICYM (Indian Catholic Youth Movement) and YCS/YSM (Young Catholic Students/Young Students Movement), shaping the future of youth leadership in the Diocese.

ICYM office bearers 2025:

The elections for ICYM were overseen by Ms. Supriya Verghees, National ICYM Secretary, and Fr. Franklin D'Souza, who ensured a smooth and transparent election process. The newly elected ICYM leadership for 2025 is as follows:

1. President: Suhas Martin, Sacred Heart Cathedral, Shivamogga.
2. Vice President: Soumya, St. Anthony's Church, Karehalli.
3. Secretary: Lenny D'Sa, Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church, Malur.
4. Treasurer: Reena, St. Paul the Hermit Church, Tandagunda.
5. Liturgy Secretary: Beena, Infant Jesus Church, Sharavatinagara.
6. Task Force Coordinator: Victor, Mary Immaculate Church, New Town.
7. Media Secretary: Shashank, Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Thirthahalli.
8. AYSB Coordinator: Aaron D'Souza, Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church, Malur/Bengaluru.
9. Vianney Deanery Representative: Avin, St. Anthony's Church, Hosanagara.
10. Carmel Deanery Representative: Amith, St. Anthony's Church, Karehalli.

These newly elected leaders are set to guide the ICYM movement forward, bringing fresh energy, vision, and dedication to serving the youth of the Diocese.

YCS/YSM office bearers 2025:

The YCS/YSM elections were conducted under the leadership of Mr. Anson Nazareth, Convener, and Ms. Jesvita D'Souza, Regional President. Their expertise ensured the election process was fair and efficient. The newly elected leaders for YCS/YSM 2025 are:

1. President: Alwin, St. Anthony's Church, Karehalli.
2. Vice President: Josephin Saldhna, Infant JesusChurch, Sharavatinagara.
3. Secretary: Priya D'Souza, Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Thirthahalli.
4. Girl Representative: Renisha D'Souza St. Theresa oc Little Flower Church, Mavinkere.
5. Boy Representative: Abhilesh, Infant JesusChurch, Sharavatinagara.
6. Media Secretary: Sandesh Pinto, St. Joseph's Church, Sagar.
7. Liturgy Secretary: Rexin Pinto, Christ the King Church, Jogfalls

These newly elected leaders bring fresh enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment to strengthen the YCS/YSM movement and inspire the youth of the Diocese to grow spiritually and socially.
