Malur - Thirthahalli, April 30, 2024 : Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church, Malur, Thirthahalli, Diocese of Shimoga celebrated its Annual Feast on April 29th at 10am.

Rev. Fr Barthalomeo Lancy D'Souza, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Church, New Town, Bhadravati celebrated the festal Holy Eucharist. Rev. Fr Franklin Philiph D'Souza, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Assumption Church, Hiriyur, Chitradurga District was the homilist. He based his homily on Luke 1:39-53. He explained about the importance of devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. He explained witnessing faith in Christian life is very important. He invited the faithful to thank God for the gift of Blessed Virgin Mary and follow her example in day-to-day lives.

Good number of Priests were present. At the end of the Holy Eucharist Rev. Fr Santhosh D'Cunha, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church, Malur thanked everyone.  

Rev. Fr Stephen Maxi Albuquerque, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Thirthahalli led the choir.

Rev. Fr Lawrence D'Souza, HM of Loyola School & Sacred Heart School English High School, Shivamogga blessed the candles. Rev. Fr Venil D'Silva, Mission Director of Nirmala Mathe Church, Harappanahalli distributed the blessed candles to the faithful and the donors.

Parish Priest & Faithful of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church, Malur, felicitated Sacerdotal Silver Jubilarians - Rev. Fr Barthalomeo Lancy D'Souza, Rev. Fr Franklin Philiph D'Souza and Rev. Fr Stephen Maxi Albuquerque. They felicitated three of them with a Shawl, Peta, garland and fruits.

On behalf of Jubilarians, Fr Lancy D'Souza thanked Fr Santhosh D'Cunha and the faithful of Malur Parish. Food was served for all by the faithful.
