Puttur , 12 March 2025: A Yuva Nidhi registration camp and an interactive session were successfully organized at SJM Hall of St Philomena College on Saturday, in collaboration with St Philomena Autonomous College and the Five Guarantee Schemes Implementation Committee. The event aimed to create awareness among students about various government schemes and facilitate their enrolment in the Yuva Nidhi Yojana.

The program was presided over by Rev. Dr Anthony Prakash Monteiro, Principal of St Philomena Autonomous College. In his presidential address, he urged students to not only avail themselves of government benefits but also to actively contribute to the nation as responsible citizens.

Mr Umanatha Shetty, Chairman of the Five Guarantee Schemes Implementation Committee, Puttur, graced the event as the chief guest. He provided valuable insights into the Yuva Nidhi Yojana, an ambitious initiative by the government, along with information on other welfare schemes available for students and youth.

Adding further clarity to the registration process, Mr Arun Kumar, Officer of the District Employment Exchange Centre, Mangalore, explained the step-by-step procedure for Yuva Nidhi registration and addressed the queries and concerns of the students.

The session also witnessed participation from key officials, including Mr Subrahmanya Prakash, Manager of KSRTC Puttur Division, and Mr Suresh, another officer from the division. They engaged with students, collected feedback, and discussed transportation-related concerns.

Also present at the event were Mr Abbu Navagrama, a member of the Five Guarantee Schemes Implementation Committee, and Mr Praveen D., Coordinator of the Yuva Nidhi Scheme at the college.

The program successfully bridged the gap between students and government initiatives, ensuring that young beneficiaries are well-informed and equipped to take advantage of these schemes. The interactive nature of the session provided a platform for students to voice their concerns and gain clarity on various employment and welfare opportunities.
