Mangaluru, April 14 : St Agnes School (CBSE), Bendore, Mangalore, respectfully commemorated Ambedkar Jayanthi on 14th April 2025 to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Indian Constitution and a stalwart champion of social equality and justice.

The day’s observance began with a special assembly, where students offered a heartfelt prayer, setting a reflective tone and emphasizing the core values of justice, equality, and unity. This was followed by a floral tribute to Dr.Ambedkar’s portrait, offered as a mark of reverence by Principal Sr Maria Sarika A.C., Vice Principal Sr Meena Fernandes A.C., Sr Reshma D’Souza, Teacher Nisha Fernandes, and ASPL Cleona Saldanha.

Shannon Saldanha then delivered a succinct yet meaningful speech, elaborating on the relevance of the day and Dr.Ambedkar’s profound contributions toward the upliftment of marginalized communities. Following this, Vice Principal Sr Meena Fernandes A.C. addressed the gathering with an inspiring message. She highlighted Dr.Ambedkar’s pivotal role in the drafting of the Indian Constitution and his visionary ideals for a just, inclusive, and progressive India. She encouraged students to follow his example by becoming compassionate, responsible, and socially aware individuals.

The programme concluded with the collective recitation of the Preamble and the National Anthem, instilling a renewed sense of pride and constitutional values among the audience.

The event served as a powerful tribute to Dr.Ambedkar’s enduring legacy, motivating all present to work toward a society rooted in equality, dignity, and justice for all.
