Moodbidri, April 14 : Corpus Christi Church solemnly observed Palm Sunday on 13 April 2025, marking the beginning of Holy Week. The service commenced at 7:00 am with the recitation of the Divine Mercy Chaplet, setting a reflective tone for the day. This was followed by the traditional blessing of palm leaves, led by Rev. Fr Onil D’Souza.

In a brief introduction, Fr Onil D’Souza explained the significance of Palm Sunday, recalling Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. The congregation then participated in a short but reverent procession into the church, symbolizing the journey of Christ.

The highlight of the service was the celebration of the Holy Eucharistic Mass, which commemorated the Passion of Christ. The faithful gathered in large numbers, joining in prayer and reflection as they prepared for the solemn days of Holy Week. The service concluded with blessings and a message of peace and hope.
