Farla - Bantwal, April 14 : 13th April 2025 marked the beginning of the Holy Week leading up to Easter. The faithful gathered in large numbers early in the morning, carrying palm branches to commemorate the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem.

The celebration began with the blessing of palms, held at Vailankanni ward, followed by a solemn procession into the church.

Parishioners, young and old, joined the procession singing "Hosanna to the Son of David," recalling the joy of the crowd that welcomed Jesus.

The Holy Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr Flavilan Lobo who in his homily reflected on the humility and obedience of Christ even in the face of suffering and death. He encouraged the faithful to walk with Jesus through His Passion with hearts full of faith, love, and surrender.

The Passion of Our Lord according to the Gospel of Luke was proclaimed, inviting the congregation to meditate deeply on the sacrifice of Christ for the salvation of the world.

The atmosphere throughout the celebration was one of reverence, reflection, and renewal, as parishioners prepared to enter into the sacred mysteries of the Holy Triduum.

The event concluded with a note of thanks from the parish priest Fr Mark Dsouza, to all those who helped organize the liturgy and made the celebration meaningful and prayerful.
