Moodbidri, April 14 : On 13 April 2025, the parishioners of Corpus Christi Church undertook a spiritual pilgrimage to Mount Rosary Ashram, Alangaar, as part of their Lenten observances. The pilgrimage commenced at 3:30 p.m. from the church premises and witnessed the participation of approximately 250 faithful. Walking in unison and reciting the Rosary, the devotees made their way to the Ashram, reflecting on their spiritual journey and deepening their faith.
As an act of penance and charity during the holy season of Lent, the parishioners generously contributed in both cash and kind to support the inmates of Mount Rosary Ashram.
Under the spiritual guidance of Rev. Fr Onil D’Souza, the parish priest of Corpus Christi Church, the pilgrimage was a deeply moving experience. One of the significant highlights of the event was the prayerful observance of the Stations of the Cross, conducted at the rubber plantation site at the Ashram. Each station was marked by solemn reflection and communal prayer, offering the pilgrims an opportunity to meditate on the Passion of Christ.
The entire event was filled with moments of introspection, devotion, and unity, serving as a meaningful preparation for Easter. The pilgrimage not only strengthened the spiritual bond among the parishioners but also renewed their sense of purpose and faith during the Lenten season.
