Puttur February 15, 2025 : Mr Vinaya Chandra, Dean and Head of the Department of Computer Applications (UG & PG) and Registrar (Evaluation) of St Philomena College (Autonomous), has been awarded PhD degree on Thursday by Srinivas University, Mangalore.
His doctoral thesis, titled ‘Progressions in E-Voting System: Modified Blockchain-Based Cryptographic Algorithms for Secured E-Voting Process’, explores innovative advancements in securing electronic voting systems using blockchain and cryptography technology. The research was guided by Dr Suresha D. of Srinivas University and co-guided by Dr Krishna Prasad K. of AJIET, Mangalore.
With an impressive academic portfolio, Dr Vinaya Chandra has published 22 research papers in peer-reviewed international journals, including Scopus-indexed publications. He has contributed to more than 4 national-level conference proceedings and authored 4 chapters in edited books.
In recognition of outstanding research contributions, he was honoured with the ‘Best Researcher Scholar Award’ in the year 2023 by the Srinivas University. Furthermore, he received the ‘Best Paper Award’ at a national-level paper presentation contest for PhD Students organized by the SU IEEE Student Branch in the year 2020.
