Mangaluru, Jan 9, 2025 : Carmel School CBSE, Kotekar, observed Human Rights Day with great enthusiasm and a sense of purpose. The occasion was graced by Advocate Sheekraj S. Kottary, Defence Counsel for the District Legal Services Authority, along with the school’s Principal, Sr. Pramila A. C., and Vice Principal, Sr. Anitha A. C.
The programme commenced with a solemn prayer service, seeking divine blessings and guidance. This was followed by a captivating welcome dance that set an engaging and celebratory tone for the day. Bhavith extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries, teachers, and students, acknowledging their active participation in the event.
Ashkan and Ahad presented an insightful talk on the significance of Human Rights Day, shedding light on the need to protect and promote these rights in everyday life. Their presentation was complemented by a compelling skit that portrayed the relevance of human rights in shaping lives, underscoring values like equality and dignity. Adding to the vibrancy of the event, students performed a dynamic thematic dance that brought the essence of human rights to life.
The highlight of the day was an inspiring address by Advocate Sheekraj S. Kottary, who elaborated on the fundamental rights enshrined in the Constitution. He emphasized the need for awareness and responsibility in safeguarding these rights. Drawing from his extensive legal expertise, he motivated students to contribute actively toward fostering justice and equity in society.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Charishma, expressing gratitude to the chief guest and everyone who contributed to the program's success. The event was expertly compered by Rishaya and Shanvi, ensuring its smooth and seamless execution.
