Mangaluru, Nov 1 : The little learners of St Agnes Preparatory School celebrated Yellow Colour Day on October 29, 2024, with endless enthusiasm, delight, and joy. Dressed as cheerful icons of the colour yellow—sunflowers, mangoes, lemons, bananas, and even honeybees—they radiated warmth and happiness, embodying the vibrant spirit of the day.
Yellow, symbolizing optimism, sunshine, and happiness, filled the atmosphere with an uplifting energy. Known to represent freshness, positivity, intellect, and joy, the colour yellow brought a special glow to the celebration. The primary objective of Yellow Day was to familiarize children with the colour’s meaning and enhance their fine motor skills through fun and creative activities.
The event’s charm extended to snack time, where treats like bananas, sweet lime, pineapple, and traditional Indian sweets like laddus and jalebi reflected the day’s theme. A special "Yellow Corner" displayed a delightful array of yellow-themed crafts—sunflowers, smiley faces, butterflies—created with love and creativity by the young artists.
As the virtual event began, teachers set a cheerful tone with an engaging introduction, followed by a lively singing session where children sang songs and rhymes celebrating the colour yellow. The creative activities were a highlight, as little hands crafted sweet corn, ducks, and honeybees using yellow paper, paint, and other materials.
Yellow Colour Day at St Agnes Preparatory School was a memorable celebration, leaving the children with a joyful experience and a deeper connection to the colour. This cheerful day sparked their creativity, enhanced their motor skills, and filled their hearts with happiness—an unforgettable tribute to the colour of sunshine.
