Mangaluru, Oct 29 : To enrich classroom learning through immersive real-world experiences, St. Agnes School CBSE organized a series of educational field trips for students in Grades I to VIII, complemented by a special Leisure Day for Grades IX and X, held on October 16, 18, and 22, 2024.These excursions offered students with valuable opportunities for recreational learning in outdoor environments, seamlessly complementing classroom education.
On October 16, 2024, students of Grade I visited the Kodialguthu Center for Art & Culture in Mannagudda, immersing themselves in local artistic traditions. Afterward, they enjoyed nature at Gandhi Park, creating a perfect blend of culture and recreation. Grade II students visited Yenepoya University and the Pandeshwar Post Office, where they observed postal operations and gained insights into hospital laundry and food preparation.
On October 18, 2024, Grade III students explored the Pandeshwar Fire Station, Post Office, Gandhi Park, and Kodialguthu Center for Art & Culture. They learned about fire safety and the postal system while also appreciating local art and culture. Additionally, Grade IV students experienced hands-on learning at Yenepoya Medical College and KMF Nandini Milk Dairy, where they explored hospital laundry, food preparation, and dairy production, enhancing their understanding of teamwork and hygiene.
On October 22, Grade V students delved into human anatomy at Yenepoya University, exploring the Anatomy Lab and witnessing modern food service and laundry operations. Grade VI students visited the Talipady Weavers Society, learning the intricate art of fabric weaving. Their educational journey culminated in leisure at Kadalakere Nisargadhama Moodubidre, blending learning with fun.
A trip to the Manipal Museum of Anatomy & Pathologyand Hasta Shilpa Heritage Village Museumallowed Grade VII students to explore human anatomy and traditional South Indian architecture, enriching their knowledge of biology and cultural heritage. With a focus on environmental conservation, Grade VIII students visited the Pachanady Waste Processing Centre and Material Recovery Facility (MRF) ,Nitte, where they learned about waste management and recycling, concluding their day at Salu Marada Thimmakka Tree Park.
On October 16, Grade IX students enjoyed a delightful outing to John's Water Park, while Grade X students celebrated their academic journey at Vismaya Amusement Park. Both events, supervised by dedicated staff, fostered a joyful atmosphere filled with music and camaraderie.
Under the meticulous planning of Principal Sr Maria Sarika A.C., these educational field trips have not only enriched students' understanding of various subjects but also instilled a spirit of exploration and curiosity.
