Puttur, 7 June 2024 : In today’s competitive era, pursuing certificate courses along with degrees provides abundant job opportunities for students. Such courses, especially in journalism, can significantly help students in shaping their lives, stated Professor Rakesh Kumar Kammaje, Principal and Head of the Department of Journalism, Ambika Mahavidyalaya, during a workshop. He was speaking as a resource person at the training program on “Report Writing - Techniques and Possibilities,” organized by the Kannada Department and Kannada Sangha of St Philomena College on Thursday, June 6 at the Spandana Seminar Hall.
“Writing and journalism are forms of art. Our hobbies can transform into our professions, which brings joy to the mind. Observing the environment around us is a kind of capital for reporting in journalism,” he further said.
Presiding over the event, the Principal of the college, Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, remarked, “Creativity is very important among students. For those working in the media, language skills are essential, so students must pay special attention to language while writing reports.”
