Mangaluru, June 3 : The Yenepoya Medical College Hospital in Deralakatte recently conducted an educational session for the educators of St. Agnes School CBSE on May 24, 2024. The collaborative efforts between the medical professionals and educators aimed to enhance student well-being received a positive reception, fostering a conducive environment for learning.

The session commenced with a warm welcome and remarkable enthusiasm from the faculty. Special gratitude is extended to Dr. Prakash Saldanha for spearheading this training initiative. Esteemed medical professionals, including Dr. Meghana Mukund, Professor of the Anaesthesia Department and Chief Coordinator of Actsyen; Dr. Aejaz Ahamed, Assistant Professor of the Anaesthesia Department and Training Coordinator of the AHA Program; Dr. Jeevan Periera, Associate Professor of the Orthopaedics Department; Dr. Arun Varghese, Assistant Professor of the Paediatrics Department; and Dr. Ramnath Mahale, Associate Professor of the Paediatrics Department, delivered an enlightening session on First Aid. They demonstrated CPR techniques and emergency procedures for handling casualties, alongside sharing valuable insights on health and its advantages. Each topic covered during the session provided a wealth of knowledge concerning health and safety practices.

On behalf of the management, Sister Maria Sarika AC, the Principal, and teachers , Mrs. Nisha Fernandes, one of the teachers, conveyed appreciation to the resource persons and coordinators for orchestrating this insightful session.

The success of this educational session has set a precedent for future collaborations, with the shared goal of fostering a healthier and safer school environment.
