Mangaluru, June 3 : The air was filled with excitement and a sense of new beginnings. The school corridors buzzed with animated chatter as friends reunited and shared stories of their summer adventures. Brightly decorated classrooms awaited the eager learners, each one a vibrant space designed to inspire creativity and curiosity.

After the summer break, students displayed remarkable enthusiasm as they returned to St. Agnes School (CBSE). Class IX and X students resumed classes on May 29, 2024, followed by students in Classes 2 to 8 on May 31, and finally, Class 1 students on June 1, 2024.

The students were welcomed with grandeur, fostering their involvement in a comprehensive learning environment at the school. Class teachers warmly welcomed their students, and the parents of Class 1 students entrusted their children to their nurturing guidance. Smiley brooches were affixed to the students’ uniforms as a warm gesture of welcome. Animated cartoon mascots engaged the students with a playful introduction, creating a vibrant atmosphere for the day. Subsequently, prizes were bestowed following a series of games. Enhancing their excitement, small tokens were distributed before escorting the students to their respective classrooms.

The academic year started with an Inaugural Assembly that included a reflective moment and a prayer dance. Additionally, a skit was presented to highlight the significance of cooperation in both school and society. Kriti, a third-grade student, was recognized for achieving a silver medal in the 100m race and a bronze in the 500m race at the 6th National Ranking Open Championship 2024 held in Goa.

The newly appointed Vice Principal, Sr Meena Fernandes, along with Coordinator Sr Reshma and the teaching staff, received a warm reception from Principal Sr Maria Sarika A.C. The welcoming gesture included a candle and a rose, symbolizing the enlightenment that comes with knowledge. New students were embraced into the school community with roses.

Principal Sr Maria Sarika A.C. delivered an inspiring address, underscoring the significance of goal-setting and the strategies required to achieve them. She urged the students to foster creativity and embrace new learning experiences. The assembly concluded with a rendition of the School Anthem.

The return to St Agnes School CBSE marked the beginning of a promising new academic year, filled with opportunities for growth, learning, and memorable experiences. Both students and teachers look forward to the journey ahead, ready to embrace the challenges and joys that lay in store.
