Moodbidri, June 1 : Carmel School Moodbidri commenced its highly anticipated Staff Enrichment Program on May 27th, 30thand 31st May 2024. This event was a remarkable step towards enhancing the skills and capabilities of its educators, fostering a robust learning environment for its students. The session saw full attendance from all campus educators, including esteemed teachers from Holy Rosary PU College and the high school. The day commenced with a heartfelt prayer song invoking God's blessings. The program was inaugurated by Sr. Preena A.C., the Vice Principal, who delivered an inspirational welcome address. Following this, Sr. Maria Gracilda A.C. warmly welcomed the distinguished resource person, Mrs. Jaya Capoor, teacher trainer and soft skills expert from Foster School, Hyderabad, Telangana with a bouquet of flowers. Subsequently, Mr. Vasant Poojary, Senior Business Partner was welcomed by Sr. Elena A.C., the administrator.

Day 1: Session 1- Effective Communication and Teaching Strategies

Mrs. Jaya Capoor led the first session. The focus was on "Effective Communication Skills in the Classroom." She emphasized various teaching strategies and skills necessary for fostering effective communication. The session was enriched with engaging PowerPoint presentations, interactive games, and dynamic discussions, making it an enriching experience for all attendees.

Session 2- Effective and creative teaching methods

The day continued with a session on "Effective and Creative Teaching Methods." Mrs. Jaya Capoor explored different problem-solving techniques, analytical skills, soft skills, and logical thinking methods. The interactive nature of the session, combined with practical activities, provided educators with valuable tools to enhance their teaching methodologies.

Session 3: Classroom Management

The day continued with a session on classroom management, where various ideas were shared on how to manage the classroom effectively. The focus was on practical strategies that teachers can implement to create a conducive learning environment. Techniques such as establishing clear rules, positive reinforcement, and engaging teaching methods were discussed.

Day 2: Practical way of implementing NCF

The second day began with a detailed discussion on the National Curriculum Framework (NCF). Her session highlighted Competency-Based Education and Assessment, stressing the importance of early intervention. She further advocated for the integration of application-based and higher-order thinking questions from the foundational years, emphasizing effective communication and the cultivation of reading habits. Her session was instrumental in helping educators set clear, attainable objectives for their students, ensuring a focused and structured approach to teaching.

Tr Clara Dcosta masterfully compered the program and Tr Veena concluded with a gracious vote of thanks.

Day 3 : Power Neverskip App Training

On the third day of the training program, the focus was on the Neverskip app, a tool designed to facilitate the smooth functioning of school operations. The gathering was beautifully welcomed by Sr Rosy, the coordinator. The resource person for this training session was Sir Ranjith B.S, CSO ( Client Support Officer). He was welcomed by Sr Preena A.C, the Vice Principal with a potted sapling.The session provided a comprehensive overview of how to use the app efficiently. Participants were guided through various features of the app, including attendance tracking, communication with parents, and accessing academic resources. The training aimed to equip teachers and administrative staff with the skills necessary to leverage the app for enhancing school management and improving overall productivity. Tr Shruthi confidently compered the session and Sr Ranitha,the coordinator delivered the vote of thanks.

The Staff Orientation Program at Carmel School Moodbidri was a resounding success, equipping educators with modern teaching techniques and valuable skills.
