Mangaluru, April 20 : Mount Carmel Central School, Mangaluru held the Finale of the Summer Camp at the School auditorium on 17th April 2024, marking the conclusion of an enriching, memorable and relaxing experiences for children. The event aimed to celebrate the talents, achievements and cherished memories created during the camp.

The finale programme featured a variety of performances and speeches, showcasing the diverse talents and experiences of the campers. The event commenced with a prayer which provided a moment of reflection and gratitude, followed by a puppet storytelling performance, captivating the audience with tales of adventure and imagination. Campers took the stage to share their experiences and reflections from the summer camp, providing insights into the valuable lessons learned and memories made. Electrifying dance performances showcased the talents and energy of the campers, leaving the audience mesmerized.

The Chief guests Tr. Neeta Pais, the camp coordinator applauded the campers, appreciated her colleagues and was grateful to the management for entrusting the responsibility of the camp to her along with the opportunity of being the chief guest for the finale. The winners of the carnival were celebrated in grand style, receiving accolades in the form of certificates and trophies from the chief guest, principal and the administrator. In her closing address, Principal Sr Melissa expressed heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all who contributed to the success of the camp. The programme wrapped up in style, fueled by a vibrant zumba performance and topped off with delectable ice cream delights.

The camp was inaugurated on March 23rd and each day was unfolded with exciting and meaningful activities from Zumba sessions to cooking without fire, solving puzzles at the Math Lab, Art and Craft, to interactive games. The children enjoyed a big screen movie at Bharath Mall and a field trip to a farm at Kavoor, spending time with friends and appreciating the calm and serene nature around. The adventurous games kept the children active and occupied. The Mini Mela, Recreational games and the Face painting was thoroughly enjoyed by all. At the Camp Carnival, imagination took center stage as children showcased their creativity in their finest attire with handmade masks and headgear. The best entries were selected through ramp walk, question and answer session on stage with suitable actions.

All in all, the Summer Camp 2024 at MCCS offered a number of benefits to the students which fostered creativity, developed social skills, promoted physical activities and provided opportunities to learn new things in a fun and supportive environment.
