Mangaluru, March 7, 2024 : St Agnes School CBSE , Bendur, Mangaluru joyously marked International Women's Day, honouring womanhood and recognizing the invaluable contributions of all the women who support the school's success and well-being. A brief program was organised in the school auditorium on the delightful afternoon of March 6th to commemorate this special day.

The event was graced by Mrs Shobha B.G., serving as a Civil Judge in the District Court of Mangalore and as a member secretary of the District Legal Service Authority, accompanied by Principal Sr Maria Sarika A.C., Vice Principal Sr Lenita Lobo A.C., Administrator Sr Edna Furtado A.C., and Coordinator Sr. Sweedal Fernandes A.C.

Commencing with a solemn invocation of blessings from the Almighty, the program began with great splendour.The skit portraying prominent women personalities served as a poignant tribute to those who have broken stereotypes and paved the path for future generations. The empowering song dedicated to women resonated throughout the venue, igniting inspiration and admiration in the hearts of all attendees. The captivating dance performance eloquently displayed the strength and elegance of women.

The school acknowledged and paid tribute to the esteemed Chief Guest, Mrs. Shobha B.G, on the occasion of International Women’s Day for her legal expertise and dedication to empowering women. The Physical Education trainers, Mrs Babitha, Ms Salvia, Ms Devika, and teacher Savitha, have not only excelled in nurturing sporting talents but have also brought glory to the school through their hard work and dedication. Mrs Daphne Fernandes' outstanding academic achievement in securing the fifth rank in the Masters in Arts (English) program is a testament to her dedication and passion for her studies. The school values and recognizes the efforts of these exceptional individuals and their contributions towards creating a positive and inspiring environment for all.

The Chief Guest commended the students for their exceptional performance and engaged their intellect with an insightful discourse on legal authority, particularly emphasizing its role in supporting women and children within society. Encouraging the judicious use of social media, she underscored that the law stands as a pillar of support and guidance for those who may find themselves as victims. Furthermore, she instilled in the students the importance of empowering and motivating others.

The atmosphere was filled with joy and excitement as the women gathered for this special event. Laughter and cheers resonated across the venue as the games brought out a spirit of friendly competition among the participants. The winners proudly received their well-deserved trophies and medals, showcasing their talent and determination. Principal Sr Maria Sarika A.C., Mr. Roopesh, and Mr. Surjith's dedication and teamwork were evident in the seamless execution of the event, ensuring that everyone felt inspired and empowered throughout the day.

Adithi K.P and Vidhathri's lively hosting kept the audience engaged and entertained, adding a dynamic flair to the proceedings. Vradditha's warm welcome set a positive tone for the event, creating a welcoming environment for all attendees. Aliza's heartfelt Vote of Thanks expressed gratitude for the enthusiastic participation, highlighting the sense of camaraderie and unity that permeated the gathering.
