Puttur , Jan 24, 2024 : St Philomena College, Puttur received a prestigious honour as it was acknowledged as a Palo Alto Networks Authorized Cyber security Academy. The recent Bridge Event in Bangalore served as the platform where the representatives of the company formally presented the College with the certificate of confirmation. St Philomena College stands among the select Indian institutions to be conferred with this recognition. Palo Alto Networks conducts comprehensive industry-standard certificate courses in cyber security, specifically tailored for college students through its Academy.

This acknowledgment opens avenues for students at the College to engage in various events such as hackathons, power seminars, and online training courses. Facilitating the collaboration between St Philomena College and Palo Alto Networks, ICT Academy played a pivotal role in establishing this connection.

Mr Vinayachandra, Dean of Computer Science at St Philomena College, Puttur, and Mr Abhishek Suvarna, Asst Professor in the Department of Business Administration as well as Institutional Level Coordinator represented the College to receive the Honour. Key figures including Dr Hari Balachandran, CEO of ICT Academy, Mr Vishu Prasad D, Regional Head at ICT Academy, and Mr Vignesh Shetty, Relationship Manager at ICT Academy for D.K. District, were graciously present on the occasion.

Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, Principal of the College expressed his elation on receiving this Honour and said that the students who opt Cyber Security as subject of study will have the opportunity to get trained in the College from Palo Alto Networks and therefore the MoU with ICT Academy proves to be of great support.
