Karkala, Aug 2 : The ICYM and Youth Commission of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church Nirmalaladav, Parapady celebrated YUVA EKVOT- 2023 on Sunday July 30, 2023.

The youths of the parish came together and participated in the holy eucharistic celebration , celebrated by Rev.Fr Alwyn Sequiera, Editor Uzwad Magazine, Udupi Diocese, and concelebrated by parish priest Rev Fr. Denis D'Souza of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church.

The youth actively participated in the liturgy and animated the liturgical readings and prayers of faithful.

Soon after the holy Eucharistic celebration, the youth gathered for a programme at the Open air hall. Mr. Johan Lobo the president of ICYM of Nirmalapadau unit escorted the dignitaries to the dais.

The program commenced with welcoming dignitaries on the dias and introducing chief guest Dr. Grynal D'Mello, Professor of Mechanical Engineering Department, NMAMIT.

Dr. Grynal D'Mello gave a talk on Cybercrime , Youth involvement in the church. He said the youth should always have a strong inclination to the word of God, prayer and interest towards spiritual things and also rendering service to the society.

Rev.Fr. Denis D'Souza, Parish Priest, Mr. Arun Dsilva, Vice President and Animator of ICYM, Mrs. Anitha Dsa the Secretary of the parish Council, Mrs. Jacintha Dsa, coordinator of 20 commissions, Lisha D'Souza secretary of ICYM unit were present on the dais.

Ms. Riya Dsa compered the entire event.
