Permannur - Mangaluru, Dec 2 : Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) unit of St Sebastian Church, Permannur celebrated its Annual Day on 3rd of November 2024. Members took up the liturgy during the thanksgiving mass at 7.30 a.m.

Later there was an Annual day program in St. Sebastian Church Upper Hall. The event was marked by vibrant enthusiasm, showcasing the spirit of unity, devotion, and camaraderie among the youth. The program commenced at 9am with a solemn prayer song led by ICYM boys invoking blessings for the success of the event. The President of ICYM Peramannur, welcomed the gathering with a warm and heartfelt speech, setting the tone for the day.

The event was graced by the presence of several dignitaries they are Very Rev Fr Cyprian Pinto - Parish Priest & Director of ICYM Permannur ,Rev Fr Ashwin Cardoza - Director ICYM central council Mangalore as a Chief guest , Rev Fr Johnson Pereira - Asst Parish Priest ,Mr Winston Sequeira - President ICYM central council Mangalore, Mr Arun Dsouza - Vice president, Parish Pastoral Council ,Mrs Jyothi Dsouza - Secretary, Parish Pastoral Council ,Sr Joseph Mary - Superior, Bethel Convent, Mr Avit Premson Lobo - Deanery Rep , Mr Flinton Pranoy Cutinha - President, ICYM St Joseph Vaz Mangalore South Deanery , Rishal Dsouza - President ICYM Permannur and Nishitha lobo - Secretary ICYM Permannur.

The keynote address was delivered by Fr. Ashwin Cardoza who emphasized the importance of youth engagement in spiritual, social, and community-building activities Mr Winston Sequeira inspired the attendees and encouraged them to contribute meaningfully to society and Very Rev Fr Cyprian Pinto gave the presidential speech. The event also recognized the efforts and achievements of ICYM members.

There were a total of 35 ICYM members present and parents of ICYM members and parishioners were present. The Annual Day of ICYM Permannur was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees. The event reinforced the values of faith, unity, and service, inspiring the youth to continue their mission with renewed zeal and commitment.
