Mangaluru, Oct 15 : On 14th of October 2022, Indian Catholic Youth Movement, Central Council, Diocese of Mangalore organised “Inside Time”, a visit to the prison at Dakshina Kannada District Prison and Correctional Services Mangalore.

Rev Fr Ashwin Lohith Cardoza - Director of ICYM Mangalore Diocese was the resource person of the day. To have a positive mindset can make one's life colourful and through this a person can live a happy life was the gist of his message. Prison superintendent B T Obaleshappa addressed the gathering saying that transformation must take place among the accused and especially to those who came to the prison by committing accidental crimes. He went on to explain about the prison and its day to day functions. The sessions were followed by question and answer from the youth. Team Asthithva performed a play based on the theme. The students of St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangalore and  Team Asthithva members presented a cultural programme.

Prison ministry spiritual Director Rev Fr Lancy Lewis OCD, Mr Jerome and members of the prison ministry of the diocese of Mangalore, Prison superintendent B T Obaleshappa, Jailor Mrs Jennamma, police officer Mr Praveen Badigar, Rev Fr Praveen Martis SJ Principal St Aloysius College, ICYM Mangalore Diocese President Anil John Sequiera, Central Council members, and other youth were present for the programme.

Anil John Sequiera delivered the vote of thanks. Sharon Pinto former President of Belthangady Deanery compered the programme.
