Mangalore, Jan 11 :  Holy Family High School, Bajpe celebrated the Golden Jubilee of its establishment on 10th and 11th January, 2014. On 10th January thanksgiving Eucharist was celebrated by the Vicar General of Mangalore Diocese Mgr Denis Moras Prabhu and concelebrated by the Parish Priest Fr Leo Lobo and the former Parish Priest Fr Marthais Pereira. After the Eucharistic celebration the Statue of Holy Family was blessed and erected at the entrance of Holy Family High School. At 9 am school Flag hoisting and Prize distribution programme was held presided by Sr M Inviolata BS, the former Provincial Superior of Mangalore Province. Sri Pradeep Suvarna, the President of Bajpe Grama Panchayat, and a few ex students of the school were the invited guest for the days programme. The Dignitaries gave away the prizes for the students and wished well for the programme.

The Concluding programme of the Golden Jubilee was held at 5.30 pm at the Holy Family School Play Ground. Sr M Wilberta BS, the Superior General of Bethany Congregation was the President of the grand finale. She honored all the Headmistresses who had rendered their dedicated service for the Institution during the past 50 years. In her message she thanked and congratulated the school and all its dedicated teachers of the past and present for their hard labour in keeping alive the vision of the Founder. Sr Mariette BS the Provincial Superior of Mangalore province, honored all the Headmistresses along with the Superior General. In her message she called upon the teachers, students and everyone to become channels of love, peace and goodness. Shri Abhayachandra Jain, the MLA of Mulki Moodubidri Constituency who was the chief guest appreciated the services of the sisters and their contribution to the society through education.

DDPI Sri Moses Jayashekar greeted and awarded all toppers of SSLC exam. Mr Lokesh the BEO of Mangalore North range honored the winners at State and National level in sports. she Mrs Grace Pinto, the Director of Rayans International Schools, Mumbai, who is also the EX student of the school She recalled the sweet memories of her school days and paid a great tribute to all her teachers who were responsible for all her achievements in the society, nation and the world. Sr M Christella BS, Educational Coordinator of Mangalore Province and Sr M Roselyta BS, the Correspondent honored 5 old students of the school who have achieved great heights of success, one of them being Mrs Grace Pinto, the proud daughter of Bajpe soil. Mr Clifford D’Costa , PTA Vice President, Mrs Rosy D’ Cunha the president of Old Student Association and Sr M Lisa BS, the Superior of Nazareth Convent Bajpe were present on the dais.

After the stage programme the students exhibited a colorful programme depicting the history of Holy Family High School. A big crowd of well wishers, parents, friends attended the programme and expressed joy and gladness.
