Katipalla - Mangaluru, July 24, 2024 : ICYM Katipalla, in collaboration with the Catholic Sabha and the Environment Commission, celebrated Vanamahotsava on July 21 at Infant Mary's Church, Katipalla. The event was attended by Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Santhosh Lobo, Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council Mrs. Saviya Montheiro, Secretary Ms. Vivid Dsouza, ICYM President Ms. Deena Dsouza, Catholic Sabha President Mrs. Violet Dsouza, and Environment Commission In-charge Mr. Delvyn Fernandes.
The primary goal of the program was to preserve locally recognised tree species, which was achieved by planting 20 saplings of various species alongside the Church Hall. The saplings were also distributed to the parishioners.
