Eliyarpadav - Mangaluru, Sep 7 : On the joyous occasion of feast of Nativity of Mother Mary, the ICYM Eliyarpadav and Catholic Sabha Eliyarpadav units joined hands to host 'Khela Mel - 3.0', a fun-filled gathering organized to bring together all parishioners on September 1, 2024, at the Holy Cross Eliyarpadav Church grounds from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The event began with a prayer song, followed by a warm welcome address by Catholic Sabha President Cynthia Menezes. Parish priest Rev. Fr. John D'Souza inaugurated the program by unveiling the banner, hoisting the church flag, and delivering an inspiring speech on the importance of games, encouraging everyone to participate enthusiastically. ICYM Secretary, Liza Roche, proposed the vote of thanks.

Ten wards actively participated in the event, which featured over 20 games, including a Lagori tournament after lunch, and separate games for children from LKG to YCS. The ward members performed exceptionally well and thoroughly enjoyed the games. It was a fun-filled day for all.

The event progressed smoothly with the cooperation of all participants and included breakfast and lunch. The valedictory program in the evening featured honoring the sponsors, a prize distribution ceremony, and a vote of thanks by ICYM Secretary, Liza Roche.

The guests on the dais included Rev. Fr. John D'Souza, Parish Priest; Elias D'Cunha, Parish Pastoral Council President; Everest Roche, Parish Pastoral Council Secretary; Glawin D'Souza, ICYM President; Prajwal D'Souza, ICYM Sports Secretary; Cynthia Menezes, Catholic Sabha President; Liza Roche, ICYM Secretary and Oswald Roche, Catholic Sabha Secretary.

The games were expertly organized and conducted by ICYM members under the leadership of President Glawin D'Souza and Sports Secretary Prajwal D'Souza. Food arrangements were managed by Catholic Sabha President Cynthia Menezes, and her team.

The program ended with great success and joy, fostering unity among parishioners.
