Loretto - Bantwal, July 8 : ICYM Loretto Unit celebrated 'Laudato si' World Environment Day on the theme "Love the Earth," on June 23rd, 2024, at Our Lady of Loretto Church in Loretto. The event was graced by the presence of ICYM Loretto Unit Director Rev. Fr. Francis Crasta, Fr.Jason Monis Principal of Loretto CBSE school, ICYM animator Mr. Alwyn Pinto, ICYM Loretto Unit President Ms. Snehal Rosario, and Secretary Ms. Preemal Menezes, along with other ICYM members.

Together, they planted saplings in the church premises to promote environmental awareness and underscore the importance of protecting our planet. Rev. Fr. Francis Crasta, Loretto CBSE School Principal Fr. Jason Monis, Parish Vice-President Mr. Cyprian D'Souza, Parish Secretary Mrs. Shaila Barboza, Parisar Ayoog Coordinator Mr. Rayan Rodrigues, and Parish Commission Coordinator Mr. Prakash Vas all took part in the sapling plantation.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from all ICYM members and parishioners, making it a significant step towards fostering environmental consciousness within the community.
