Gantalkatte - Moodbidri, July 16, 2024 : The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) unit of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church, Gantalkatte organized the "Laudato si" program on Sunday, June 23rd, 2024, with the primary focus on fostering environmental responsibility and advocating for tree planting.
The program commenced with an inauguration by Rev. Fr. Ronald Prakash D'Souza, the Director of ICYM Gantalkatte. In his opening address, he underscored the importance of tree planting and its profound benefits for the community and the environment.

In collaboration with 'Parisar Ayog', an environmental commission, the program featured a significant tree-planting initiative. This activity was led by the Director of ICYM, accompanied by ICYM members and representatives from 'Parisar Ayog,' who collectively planted three saplings in the vicinity of the church premises.
As part of its outreach efforts, the program concluded with the distribution of saplings to parishioners.
