Kokkada - Puttur, Aug 1 : "Vanamahostav" celebration at St. John the Baptist Church, Kokkada was organized by ICYM Kokkada Unit in association with the Commission for the Environment on 14th July 2024.
The program was held after the morning mass, in front of the Church premises. The parish priest Fr. Anil Prakash Dsilva, the guest Fr. Ashok D'souza, the vice president of parish council Praveen Noel Monteiro and Secretary Veena Madtha, ICYM animator Jayanth D'souza, ICYM president Sahana Maria D'souza and ICYM secretary Vineeth Monteiro were present for this program.

The event commenced with a warm welcome to the parishioners and to guests by host ICYM president Sahana Maria D'souza.
The parish priest Fr. Anil Prakash D'silva addressed the gathering and delivered the importance of the environment to the parishioners.
The program concluded with the vote of thanks rendered by Vineeth Lawrence Monteiro, secretary of ICYM Kokkada Unit.
All the ICYM members and the environment commission collaborated seamlessly and actively participated in the planting and distribution of fruits and medicinal plants.
