Sampige - Moodbidri, Aug 5 : With the intention of gathering all the youths of Sampige parish, the parish came up with "Yuva Milan" youth gathering on 4th August 2024 at 10:00 A.M in Holy Spirit Church Hall, Sampige. On the occasion, Director of ICYM Sampige Unit Rev.Fr. Vincent D'Souza, chief guest Rev.Fr. Ashwin Cardoza director of ICYM Mangalore Diocese, ICYM Sampige Unit Animator Mr. Vipin Kumar Fernandes, parish council vice - president Mr. Wilfred Misquith, parish council secretary Mr. Roshan Fernandes, Javin D'Souza President of ICYM Moodbidri Deanery, Reena Crasta Treasurer of ICYM Mangalore diocese, Melroy Moras President of ICYM Sampige Unit were present on the dais.

The program began with a prayer song led by ICYM Members. The event was inaugurated by watering a plant. ICYM Sampige vice president Joylin Cordero welcomed the gathering by offering the flowers. Rev.Fr Vincent D'Souza and Rev.Fr. Ashwin Cardoza gave their valuable messages to the youth.

The first session was boosted by Action songs and soon after that there was a talk by resource person Rev.Fr. Ashwin Cardoza, director of ICYM Mangalore diocese who gave a wonderful talk about youth motivation, personality development, service towards parish, and active participation in all the activities.

Later activities were conducted by ICYM moodbidri deanery president Javin D'Souza and executive committee of Moodbidri Deanery. There was a lot of fun and there were many team building activities with competitiveness between the teams.

Attractive prizes were distributed to all the participants by Animator Vipin Kumar Fernandes.

Nishal Dsilva, cultural secretary of ICYM unit proposed the vote of thanks and Nishal D'silva compered the programme.
