Vittal, June 26, 2024 : The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) unit of Our Lady of Dolours Church, Vittal organized "Youth Pulse 2024" in association with Yekthar Ayog Pangad for all the youth of Vittal parish. The event took place in the Centenary Hall, Vittal, beginning right after the first mass with breakfast provided for attendees.

The event commenced with a stage program featuring several dignitaries: Parish Priest Rev Fr. Ivan Michael Rodrigues, Chief Guest Dr Mona Jacqueline Mendonca, Parish Govlik Parishath Vice President Mr. Vijay Pais, Secretary and ICYM Animator Mr. Thomas Mascarenhas, Yekthar Ayog Pangad Sayyojak Mr. Francis Mascarenhas, Secretary and YCS Unit Animator Mrs.Jecintha Fernandes, St. John Paul II Vittal Deanery President Prithesh Lobo, Secretary Rithesh Lobo, Amso Yuvak Representative Rolf Vinay D'Souza, ICYM Unit President Wilson D'Souza, and Secretary Renisha Rodrigues. The inauguration was symbolized by watering plant. The Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Ivan Michael Rodrigues addressed the gathering, and ICYM Unit President Wilson D'Souza welcomed everyone, setting a positive tone for the day. Secretary Renisha Rodrigues expressed gratitude to everyone involved. Dilroy Mascarenhas was the master of ceremony, guiding the program smoothly.

Guest speaker Dr Mona Jacqueline Mendonca gave an insightful talk on decision-making skills, highlighting the importance of making good choices. The Vittal ICYM executive committee conducted games and action songs to encourage teamwork and leadership among the participants. Everyone participated enthusiastically, making the activities both fun and engaging.

After the prize distribution, the program concluded with the ICYM anthem. Refreshments were served, marking the end of a successful and enriching day. Youth Pulse 2024 was a grand success with around 60 youth in attendance, providing a platform for young people to gain valuable skills. The event succeeded in empowering the youth and fostering a sense of unity and purpose.
