Belthangady, May 16 : Rev. Fr Walter D'Mello took charge as the Parish Priest of Most Holy Redeemer Church, Belthangady on May 15, 2023. He has served 6 years as the Judicial Vicar of Mangalore Diocese .

New Parish Priest Rev Fr Walter D'Mello was welcomed by Rev. Fr Joseph Cardoza, former Parish Priest Belthangady, Rev. Fr Clifford Pinto, Principal Holy Redeemer English Medium School, Mr Walter Monis Vice President Parish Pastoral Council, Mr Gilbert Pinto, Secretary of Parish Pastoral Council, Mrs Pauline Rego, Co-ordinator Parish Pastoral Commissions, Sr Jacintha Baretto, superior St Teresa Convent and the Faithful.

Fr Walter D'Mello was accompanied by V. Rev. Fr Vincent Monteiro, Parish Priest Bendoor Church, Msgr Leslie Shenoy, Rev. Fr Arun Lobo, Rev Fr Ronson Pinto, Rev. Fr Vivian Rodrigues, Rev. Fr Naveen Pinto, Rev. Fr Alfred Pinto, Rev Fr Francis Dsouza and Rev. Fr Lawrence Dsouza.

Rev. Fr Joseph Cardoza handed over the responsibilities to his successor Rev Fr Walter D'Mello. Rev Fr Basil Vas delegate of Bishop was present.

Belthangady deanery priests Rev Fr Praveen Dsouza, Rev Fr Thomas Sequiera and Rev Fr Henry Madtha were present for the entire program.

Fr Joseph Cardoza will be taking charge as Parish Priest of Martin De Porres Church, Belvai on Wednesday, May 16, 2023. He served as Parish Priest from 08-08-2020 to 15-05-2023.
