Moodbidri, March 25, 2025 : Democracy took center stage at Carmel School Moodbidri, as students from Grades 6 to 10 actively participated in the highly anticipated School Council Election 2025. The event was marked by enthusiasm, responsibility and a commitment to fair and transparent leadership selection.
The election process was a true testament to student empowerment with candidates passionately campaigning and presenting their visions for the school’s future. Four students from Grade 10 contested for the prestigious positions of Head Boy and Head Girl while three dedicated students from Grade 9 vied for the roles of Assistant Head Boy and Assistant Head Girl.
Voting was conducted in an organized and systematic manner ensuring fairness at every step. The highlight of the event was the live vote counting held in the presence of students and faculty reinforcing Carmel School’s commitment to integrity and transparency.
Election Results :
Head Boy: Glenson John Mendonca secured victory with 86 votes.
Assistant Head Boy: Jacob James won with 79 votes.
A total of 185 students exercised their right to vote making their voices heard in shaping the school’s leadership.
Beyond electing student representatives the event served as an invaluable lesson in democracy, leadership and responsibility. The newly elected student council is now set to lead with dedication, upholding the Carmel spirit of excellence, integrity and unity.
As the results were announced amid cheers and applause, it was evident that the student body had chosen their leaders wisely. The Carmel School Council Election 2025 was not just an event—it was a celebration of democracy in action setting the stage for a promising year ahead!
